In brutally censoring dying veterans’ Super Bowl message, the NFL is unworthy to claim representation of the original Patriots or Eagles


The Washington Times reported last week that the National Football League denied a Super Bowl ad portraying images of veterans saluting the American flag alongside the hashtag #PleaseStand. The group AMVETSclaims it was attempting to push back against the NFL’s anthem protests where the League’s rejection amounted to censorship, provided a clear example political bias and demonstrated its social justice double standard.

While NFL’s snubbing of the “Please stand for the national anthem” message adds to a growing credibility problem for the league, it’s the disrespect shown to the AMVET group — made up primarily of WWII survivors — that deserves the ire of the entire nation.   In brutally censoring dying veterans’ Super Bowl
