Readers will recall my recent article ‘Not All Aliens Are Welcome Here’ wherein I cited Public Law 414, opening with this statement: Public Law 414, Section 212, lists the things, for which aliens are denied entry to the United States. Beginning at page 182, there is a laundry list of conditions and criminal acts numbering over thirty that keep certain aliens from entry to our country. The article concluded with (f) and (g) citing reasons certain classes of people should be denied Visas.

Actually, that is not the whole story. It remains to see that the Constitution for the united States requires the President to act: “...he shall take care that the laws are faithfully executed...” Look it up, Article II § 3.

Moreover, that too is not the last word on why President Trump issued his Executive Order to temporarily suspend travel from seven Muslim Nations. President Trump executed yet another law with his EO. 8 USC § 1182 gives the President the authority to exclude certain people, or a class of people, if he thinks it is against our best interests to allow them entry. He is not required to show proof, he just has to think that is what he needs to do.
8 U.S. Code § 1182

(f) Suspension of entry or imposition of restrictions by President
Whenever the President finds that the entry of any
aliens or of any class of aliens into the United
States would be detrimental to the interests of the
United States, he may by proclamation, and for
such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend
the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as
Immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the
entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be

The layman may be excused for not being aware of this law, but for a judge, any judge, but certainly a federal judge to lose sight of this law is inexcusable.
Some of Trump’s detractors explain their lack of support for the manner he wrote the EO. Many of them think he should have worded it differently or at least explained why he did what he did the way he did it. Who can possible believe the President, the Leader of the Free World, must teach the law to those who would judge him?

The many demonstrators showing their displeasure are simply showing their ignorance of the law and the Constitution. They can be forgiven except for the destruction and theft of property they somehow seem to think enhances their misguided belief. That lawlessness is mere domestic terrorism and should be prosecuted as such.
